Wentworth Institute Plans $15M Library Renovation

Wentworth Institute of Technology has launched a $15 million campaign to fund a major library renovation.

Wentworth says the work will begin next spring, with a focus on providing advanced communal work spaces.

President Zorica Pantic says the school already has received a $5 million gift for the project from alumnus and former trustee Douglas Schumann. She says the revamped library will be named the Douglas D. Schumann Library & Learning Commons.

Wentworth said Tuesday it has received other gifts for the renovation totaling $750,000 from donors including William Whelan, an alumnus and honorary degree recipient.
