A musician and composer of contemporary classical music, writing mostly electroacoustic and acousmatic works. Before joining WBUR, Dean worked in New York as a sound designer and film editor at the post production house Hilton Media Management, LLC. While there, he freelanced scoring films, editing scripts, and assisted on shoots as a production assistant.

Dean began working in radio as a production intern at WTKK’s Jim & Margery Show.

Dean graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology and Composition at Northeastern University. A military brat, he grew up in various states around the continental U.S.
