Gas Utility Officials Unveil Plan To Replace 48 Miles Of Gas Pipeline In Merrimack Valley

Owners of the 86,000 properties in South Lawrence, Andover and North Andover still without gas after last week's explosions and fires may not have to wait as long as originally thought to have service restored.

Elected leaders and gas utility officials said Friday that they have a plan for replacing 48 miles of pipeline by Nov. 19.

Gov. Charlie Baker says he's trying to get all parties working together to address the problem quickly. WBUR's Bruce Gellerman reports for All Things Considered.
