Mass. Health Reform: Can The Nation Afford To Follow?

WBUR Reporter Sacha Pfeiffer and Karen Brown, of WFCR in Springfield, team up to report on the costs and other obstacles of health reform across the state. Hospitals that serve the poor are suffering with reduced reimbursements, they report, and are suing the state to recoup losses. But supporters of reform — who says the economic downturn is making the health care overhaul seem less affordable than it really is — continue to focus on the fact that about 97% of residents now have health insurance.
