Fentanyl-Involved Deaths At All-Time High In Massachusetts

Opioid-related deaths are down year-over-year in Massachusetts, but fentanyl-involved deaths are at an all-time high. The Department of Public Health says the drug is now a factor in 90 percent of opioid-related overdose deaths in the state.

Dr. Alexander Walley, director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Boston Medical Center joined WBUR's Jack Lepiarz on All Things Considered to discuss the data.
