‘A Christmas Carol’ Reading
On December 2, 1867, Charles Dickens began his first American reading tour of “A Christmas Carol” at The Parker House in Boston. Relive history on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 as your favorite WBUR personalities – Tom Ashbrook, Bill Littlefield, Bob Oakes, and Robin Young – give a special reading of this timeless holiday tale of charity and redemption to benefit Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for women in need.
Join us for the 11th anniversary of this beloved Boston tradition and support the women of Rosie’s Place with your ticket purchase. Holiday cookies and hot cocoa will be provided during intermission. And Rosie’s Place holiday cards and handcrafted jewelry and accessories from our Women’s Craft Cooperative will be available for purchase – just in time for final holiday shopping! You’ll truly be in the holiday spirit when you join us on December 17th!
Please note that no actual tickets will be mailed out. All tickets will be held under the purchaser’s name at the door.
