Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival

Join Louise Kennedy, WBUR community engagement director, at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival. She’ll be talking with director Nelson George about his new documentary, “A Ballerina’s Tale,” the story of ballerina Misty Copeland, right after it screens at 7 p.m. WBUR, a media partner of the festival, is also sponsoring that evening’s 6 p.m. “Summer White Reception” – all at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center. The festival, featuring features, documentaries and short films from distinguished African American artists, runs Aug. 4-9.
