Bruce Gellerman Discusses Reporting On Trauma
WBUR reporter Bruce Gellerman moderates “After It Hits: Reporting Trauma, Crisis, and Violence,” a panel discussion with fellow reporters about the challenges, both personal and professional, of covering traumatic events. In this free event at Trident Booksellers, Bruce and other award-winning journalists will discuss how they handle the pressure of sifting through huge amounts of breaking information while also being careful to keep communities and psyches safe.
Bruce will be speaking with Boston Globe reporters Scott Helman and Jenna Russell, co-authors of “Long Mile Home,” about the Boston Marathon bombings and the ensuing manhunt; WGBH reporter Phillip Martin and Joanna Marinova of Press Pass TV.
