Sacha Pfeiffer Discusses ‘Tribes’ At SpeakEasy
Sacha Pfeiffer, WBUR’s host of All Things Considered, moderates a pre-show discussion of “Tribes,” Nina Raine’s play about an argumentative academic family, its one deaf member, and the young woman who introduces him into the Deaf community. Nominated for an Olivier Award (London’s Tonys) and winner of the 2012 Drama Desk Award for best new play, “Tribes” receives a “terrific” production from SpeakEasy Stage, says ARTery critic at large Ed Siegel. Sacha will be joined by speakers from The Learning Center for the Deaf in Framingham, and their conversation, like the evening’s performance of the play, will be ASL interpreted. The talk begins at 6:30 and is free with your ticket to any performance of “Tribes,” available here.
