Siegel at ‘The Seagull’
Join Ed Siegel, critic at large of The ARTery on wbur.org, for a talk following Saturday’s matinee performance of “The Seagull” at Boston’s Modern Theatre. This production, by the new Harbor Stage Company in Wellfleet, drew raves in its original venue, the waterfront stage once occupied by the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater in its scrappy-upstart days. Director Robert Kropf has streamlined and shortened the Chekhov original; ARTery reviewer Coralie Kraft called this version “meticulously acted and accessible” when she saw it last summer. Kropf and members of the cast — all reprising their roles from the Wellfleet production — will join Ed on stage immediately after the show to discuss their work.
This event is free with your ticket to any performance of “The Seagull.” The show runs Thursday through Sunday at the Modern Theatre, 525 Washington St., Boston. Tickets are available here.
