Candidates Are In The Final Sprint To November

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid is in the fight of his political life against Republican nominee and Tea Party favorite Sharron Angle. The two are locked in a dead heat in the polls, and the Tea Party Express has said it is their most important race in the country. We talk to Jon Ralston, political columnist for the Las Vegas Sun. We also head to Wasilla, Alaska, where TIME magazine's Jay Newton-Small is following the three-way race for Senate. Republican incumbent Lisa Murkowski is getting scolded by her party after announcing she will wage a write-in campaign against Republican nominee Joe Miller and Democratic nominee Scott McAdams.

Turning An Inconvenient Eye On Public Education

Davis Guggenheim won an Academy Award for the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." Now he turns from global warming to the problems of public education in his new documentary, "Waiting For Superman" which opens in theaters beginning this Friday.  Here & Now's Emiko Tamagawa caught up with Guggenheim after a recent screening in Boston.

His visit to the U.S. has already prompted protests this week by Iranian-born expatriates who are planning what's billed as their biggest rally yet for the day of Ahmadinejad's speech.
