A judge in Britain denied bail for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange today, after he turned himself into police in London.  He faces sexual assault charges in Sweden and possible charges of espionage in the U.S. Assange's lawyers say he will contest any extradition.

Assange's court appearance Tuesday comes as his whistleblowing website faces financial and technological challenges following its release of secret U.S. diplomatic cables last month. We speak with the BBC's Nick Childs in London.

This segment aired on December 7, 2010.
