Could Southern Sudan's Independence Have A Ripple Effect?

The results of January's referendum in Southern Sudan have been certified and in July the world will have its newest nation. The same issues surrounding religious and ethnic tensions, political corruption and colonial borders that led to the conflict in Southern Sudan have produced many movements elsewhere in Africa.

We ask Joshua Forrest, director of the Kerr Institute of African History, Politics & Culture at La Roche College, if he expects any big changes for the African map in coming years.
