Plymouth, Mass, has a sister-city relationship with Shichigahama, Japan, a coastal town near the earthquake’s epicenter. Recent reports show that the town has been devastated by the earthquake and tsunami, with many houses turned into debris.

Plymouth resident and sister city committee member, Margie Burgess, is trying to communicate with survivors and her friends in Shichigahama.
