Revisiting 'The Cookbook Collector'

Author Allegra Goodman's novel 'The Cookbook Collector," now out in paperback,  is set in the pre-9/11 world, before the dot-com bubble burst.

Goodman tells the story of two sisters who pursue widely different paths in turn of the century California.

One is consumed by her Silicon Valley start-up, the other with books and the state's redwood trees.
