You may have seen them gliding along on the nearest body of water — standing on what look like surfboards, paddling with an extra-long paddle. Stand-up paddling has exploded in popularity in the past few years.

Devotees are competing in "SUP" races across dangerous bodies of water and even taking paddle boards down the Colorado River. Guest:

  • Christian Del Rosario, owner of Surfari Standup Paddle and Surf Shop in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts and Nantucket Surfari on Cape Cod.

This segment aired on August 10, 2011.
