More than 45 square miles in and around the Texan community of Bastrop have been wiped out by the wildfires sweeping across the state.

Nearly 1,400 homes have been lost and many residents are still trying to figure out what happened to their residences. For the latest information, they can now turn to the Tahitian Village Fire Facebook page.
