Conservatives are rallying around presidential candidate Herman Cain,  after allegations surfaced that the National Restaurant Association settled two sexual harassment suits against him in the 1990s.

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter defended Cain, comparing the allegations to similar claims against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

"This is a high-tech lynching," Coulter said on Fox News Channel Sunday night - a reference to words from Thomas during his 1991 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

Cain has been denying any sexual harassment happened, but has been less clear about what he knew about the settlement and when he knew it.
