The Penn State football sex abuse scandal has widened to Texas, where police in San Antonio are investigating whether former coach Jerry Sandusky molested a boy he brought to a bowl game there.

Interim Penn State president Rodney Ercikson opened a regularly scheduled meeting of the board of trustees this morning saying that "healing cannot occur until we understand how we failed in our responsibility," and he established a committee to investigate the allegations that Sandusky abused eight young boys over 15 years, and that Penn State's athletic director and a university vice president knew about it and didn't tell police.
