At least 14 coordinated bombings have struck neighborhoods around Baghdad. The bombings come just days after the last American troops left the country, and in the middle of a major political crisis that has renewed fears of sectarian violence between Sunni and Shia groups. There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the bombings, but most of the bombs hit Shiite neighborhoods, and observers say they bear the hallmarks of Sunni Al Qaeda insurgents.
