Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May has just released "More Mayhem" an expansion of her 2011 CD "Mayhem" which debuted at #1 on Billboard's New Artist's chart.

"More Mayhem" contains several new songs as well as all of the songs from "Mayhem" and like its predecessor has a rockabilly sound with a retro feel. Last year, Imelda May told Here & Now's Robin Young there's a punk sensibility to her music as well — she grew up listening to Buddy Holly and Wanda Jackson, but she also loved the Clash and the Cramps.

Guest:

  • Imelda May (peforming with her husband, guitarist Darrel Higham)

This segment aired on August 22, 2012.
