The Detroit Tigers are in the World Series for the 11th time. They beat the New York Yankees 8-1 last night to complete a four-game sweep of the American League Championship Series.

The National League winner could be decided tonight in St. Louis, where the Cardinals play the San Francisco Giants in Game 5. The Cards lead the series three games to one.
