Snow Brings Some Relief From Drought

It is snowing again in the nation's mid-section. The second major winter storm in five days is walloping Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Power is out in places. Schools and businesses have shut down. High winds have meant tremendous snow drifts.

As many as 100 vehicles are stranded on Interstate 27 outside of Lubbock, Texas.

Even the Texas Tech men's basketball team had to stay put after a Monday night game against Kansas State.

But there may be a silver lining to all this snow. It should bring some relief to a region that's been plagued by drought.
