Marathon Bombing Victim Heads To Rehab
ResumeMarc Fucarile still has a BB lodged in his heart. His right leg has been amputated above the knee and it's not clear that doctors can save his left leg.
But he has left Massachusetts General Hospital for rehab at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston.
On April 15, when the bombs went off near the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston street, Fucarile was fortunate he even made it to MGH.
He's one of the final bombing victims to get out of the hospital.
While he celebrates the next step in his recovery, Here & Now's Martha Bebinger reports Fucarile is also reflecting on his unconventional ride to the hospital — a ride that saved his life.
