For weeks now, we have been hearing about how the Ebola epidemic has killed hundreds in West Africa. But recently, reports have become more alarming as medical professionals have contracted the disease and two patients have been flown back to the U.S. for treatment.

But Arthur Caplan, a bioethicist at New York University's Langone Medical Center, says there is no way that Ebola will reach the masses in the U.S. He lays out his reasoning in an op-ed recently published on NBC.com, "Bioethicist: Why Americans Should Really Worry About Ebola."

Here & Now's Robin Young speaks to Caplan about why there will not be an Ebola outbreak in the United States and other developed countries, and about the underlying issues that have allowed the disease to spread across western Africa.
