A new poll shows that for the first time, 51 percent of likely voters are in favor of Scottish independence. The result comes 10 days before the referendum.

British officials are denying that a plan to give more power to Scotland is a sign of panic in reaction to the poll, but the survey results sent the British pound plunging to its lowest in ten months, and threaten Prime Minister David Cameron's future.

Rob Watson, the BBC's political correspondent, joins Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson to discuss the potential for Scottish independence.
