Governor Brian Sandoval of Nevada last night signed a record deal green lighting Tesla Motors' bid to build an electric car battery factory to the state.

The deal gives Tesla $1.25 billion in tax abatements, including discounted electricity for the plant.

The factory will be one of the world's largest buildings and is expected to bring some 6,500 jobs to the state.
