Federal Student Loan Defaults Down

The Department of Education this week reported that the number of Americans defaulting on their student loans is falling.

The drop has been attributed to an improving economy and increasing enrollment in federal debt-forgiveness programs.

The Atlantic's Derek Thompson joins Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson to explain.
