The Man Behind The School Attack In Pakistan

The Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for the the attack on a school in Pakistan yesterday that killed nearly 150 people, most of them children.

The leader of the Pakistani Taliban is a man named Maulana Fazlullah, but he's better known as "Mullah Radio" because of his illegal FM radio station.

He has used that station to promote jihad and excoriate the evils of female education. He ordered the attack on Malala Yousafzai in 2012.

Nicholas Schmidle, who profiled Maulana Fazlullah for The New York Times in 2008, speaks with Here & Now's Robin Young about the man known as Mullah Radio.
