According to a new survey by the Federal Highway Administration, there isn't enough parking for long-haul trucks and that's a national safety concern. The survey found most states don't have enough places for trucks to pull over for required rest stops.

The number of trucks on the road is expected to rise over the next decade. For truckers, the lack of parking is a safety issue; some have been robbed and killed because they couldn't find a safe place to park.

Trucker advocate Desiree Wood, who is a trucker herself, discusses the problem with Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson.
