Walgreens To Buy Rite Aid In $17 Billion Deal

Walgreens said Tuesday that it will buy its rival Rite Aid for $17 billion.

This will consolidate the country's second and third-largest drug store chains, and will likely get a close look from regulators, who will need to approve the deal before it goes through. The merger would also intensify the competition between CVS and Walgreens.
