$400-Million Cash Payment To Iran Raises Questions, Becomes Political Issue
ResumeNews that the Obama Administration paid $400 million in cash to Iran in January, at the time when four Americans detained in Iran were released, continues to raise questions about the purpose of the transfer.
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest denied contentions from Republicans that the money was a ransom payment. He said the payment resolved a financial dispute between the two countries. Donald Trump says the transfer is an example of the failed foreign policy of the Obama Administration.
