District Profile: Amid Legal Scandals, California 7th District House Race Heats Up

In 2014, Democratic Congressman Ami Bera won the race in California’s 7th District in one of the most expensive House races ever, narrowly edging out Republican challenger Doug Ose.

This year, the race there is shaping up to be equally interesting, with legal scandals emerging for both Bera and his Republican opponent, Sacramento Sheriff Scott Jones.
