The fate of politics on the national stage has been decided — but many state governments also saw shake ups as a result of the 2016 election. Many states now hold a government trifecta, meaning the same political party controls the governorship, state senate and state legislature.

Here & Now's Peter O’Dowd speaks with Julia Hurst, director of the National Lieutenant Governors Association, about what states are hoping to tackle first, and the challenges they may face.

This segment aired on November 23, 2016.
