Hong Kong Cracks Down On Pro-Democracy Movement

After the selection of a new pro-Beijing leader, activists in Hong Kong say they have been told they'll be charged in connection with protests in 2014.

During those protests they called for the people of Hong Kong to elect their own leader. Beijing agreed, but only if the new leader came from a pre-approved list of candidates. Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson checks in with Rob Schmitz (@rob_schmitz), NPR's correspondent in China.
