Sen. Bernie Sanders and Tom Perez, the recently elected chairman of the Democratic National Committee, kicked off a eight-state, six-day tour this week called "Come Together and Fight Back." The trip comes as Democrats ponder the future of their party after Hillary Clinton's failed presidential bid.

Democratic strategist Jamal Simmons (@JamalSimmons) joins Here & Now's Meghna Chakrabarti to discuss what party insiders and activists are saying about the direction of the Democratic Party.

This segment aired on April 19, 2017.
