The 2017 NBA playoffs are underway, with a number of dramatic games already under the players' belts. The Boston Celtics went into their series seeded No. 1, but have crumbled this week in the wake of star player Isaiah Thomas' personal heartache following the death of his sister.

Oklahoma City Thunder player Russell Westbrook set an NBA record Wednesday night with the most points ever in a postseason triple-double, but it wasn't enough to pull out a win over James Harden and the Houston Rockets.

Here & Now's Meghna Chakrabarti checks in on playoff basketball with sports analyst Mike Pesca (@pescami), host of the daily podcast The Gist.

This segment aired on April 20, 2017.
