Study Finds More Costly Teaching Hospitals Have Lower Death Rates

A study out this week in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that major teaching hospitals tend to have lower 30-day mortality rates for older patients than non-teaching or community hospitals — but they also tend to be more expensive.
