President Trump is set to announce a plan Monday to shrink the boundaries of two national monuments in Utah: Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bears Ears National Monument, the latter created by former President Obama one year ago this month.

The expected action marks an important milestone in the story of the two red buttes. Inside Energy's Leigh Paterson (@Sclaterpee) reports.

This segment aired on December 4, 2017.
