The opioid crisis has seen people who use drugs come together in unions to advocate for their communities, and to give each other support. We speak with Jess Tilley, president of the New England Drug Users Union. Also, American bourbon producers got news this week that they are going to be facing a 25 percent tariff on products they export to Mexico. Mexico announced the tariffs in retaliation after President Trump ended a waiver on steel tariffs for Mexico, the EU and Canada at the start of June. We speak with Steve Thompson, president and majority owner of Kentucky Artisan Distillery. And, 74 years ago today, June 6, 1944, the allies stormed ashore in France to drive the Germans out. Less than a year later, World War II was over. We speak with a historian who wrote about what happened on D-Day at Omaha Beach. That and more, in hour two of Here & Now's June 6, 2018 full broadcast.
