World Reacts To U.S. Pulling Out Of UN Human Rights Council

The U.S. is being criticized for its decision to pull out of the United Nations Human Rights Council. Russia, which is not now a member of the council, called it a blow to America's human rights reputation. The U.S. withdrew Tuesday, saying the council makes a "mockery of human rights."

Here & Now's Femi Oke speaks with the BBC's Imogen Foulkes (@ImogenFoulkes) in Geneva, where the council met today.

This BBC interview can be heard in the Here & Now podcast or with the WBUR app.
