Saudi Arabia Threatens To Turn Qatar Into An Island

Saudi Arabia is threatening to turn its diplomatic rift with neighboring Qatar into a geographic reality: Saudi officials say they're going to dig a canal along the 37-mile border that would effectively turn Qatar into an island. Qatari media have labelled the Salwa Canal project "a propaganda tool," but statements from Saudi officials suggest they could actually go through with it.
