Tribune Media Axes $3.9 Billion Merger With Sinclair Broadcast Group

Following scrutiny from the FCC, Tribune Media pulled the plug on its proposed $3.9 billion merger with Sinclair Broadcast Group. That union would have extended the local media conglomerate's reach to markets in New York and LA. Tribune is now suing Sinclair for breach of contract, saying the group was "aggressive" in its dealings with regulatory agencies.
