This year, a newly-passed state law limited how much local police can cooperate with federal immigration authorities, essentially making California a sanctuary state. Also, after Hurricane Michael struck Florida's Panhandle on Wednesday, we check in with a resident in Eastpoint, Fla., about how he, his family and his community are doing. And polls show California state Sen. Kevin de León is a longshot to defeat incumbent Dianne Feinstein, who has served California in the Senate since 1992.
