Supreme Court Strikes Down Louisiana Abortion Restrictions

In a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court struck down a Louisiana law that required doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges to nearby hospitals. Challengers to the law argued that it would have effectively reduced access to abortion in the state.
