Only A Game Internship

Overview: Sports-minded writer sought for Only A Game, NPR’s sports show. Heard on more than 200 stations nationwide, the show covers everything from pinball tournaments to the latest concussion science to the economics of the Olympics.

Responsibilities: The intern is responsible for fact checking, writing weekly blog posts and “webifying” radio scripts. Research and transcription duties will be assigned as needed.

Skills: Candidates should be accurate, fast and conversational writers. Familiarity with AP Style is essential. An interest in sports is a plus. A technical background is not required. Please include one or two journalistic writing samples with your application.

Time commitment:  One available internship, 11 to 14 hours per week, including five to six hours each Friday afternoon and three to four hours on Wednesday and Thursday.
