Sean Cole

Inside Out Documentary Unit

Sean Cole has been with WBUR since May 1997, when he began as an intern in the newscast unit. Prior to taking his current position as Host/Senior Reporter for the Inside Out Documentary Unit, Cole also served as a production assistant and writer for WBUR's Morning Edition, a producer for Here and Now and as Associate Producer for WRNI's Morning Edition.

Sean Cole has also contributed work to the Public Radio International programs This American Life and Savvy Traveler, NPR's Only A Game, All Things Considered and Living on Earth, and WNYC's The Next Big Thing. In 2001 he won a Radio-Television News Directors Association Award in the Best Feature category for his profile of a Boswell Sisters tribute group made up of instructors at Berklee College of Music.

Sean graduated from Marlboro College in 1993 with a BA in Theater and Creative Writing.
