Deb Becker

Radio Boston

Deborah Becker is the Senior Producer of Radio Boston. She rejoins WBUR after being a news reporter and a host of the weekly magazine, Focus Rhode Island, at WRNI, Rhode Island's public radio station.

Prior to joining WRNI in April 1998, Ms. Becker was a free-lance reporter, producer and writer at WBUR and WBZ radio in Boston, MA. For two years, she was also a morning newscaster at Monitor Radio in Boston, MA.

Ms. Becker began her career as an intern at WETA-TV, Washington D.C., The Women's Institute for Freedom of the Press, and WKBW-TV, Buffalo, New York. Since then, she has had various reporting, anchor, and assignment editor positions at WXLO-FM and WORC-AM, Worcester, and at WEEI-AM, Boston. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, New York.
