Mary Sherman

WBUR Online Arts

Mary Sherman reviews visual arts for WBUR Online Arts. Sherman founded TransCultural Exchange in 1989 to create art projects that transcend social, political, geographical and historical barriers. In addition, she has served as an artist-in resident at such institutions as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and currently teaches at Boston College and Northeastern University. She has also been a guest speaker, visiting lecturer and arts critic at numerous institutions, including the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, the University of Chicago and Sogung University, Seoul, South Korea. Sherman's works have been exhibited widely both in the U.S. and abroad.
