Harvey Blume has written on art and culture for a variety of journals, including The New York Times,The Boston Globe, Wired, The American Prospect and The Jerusalem Report. Blume is the co-author of "Ota Benga: The Pygmy in the Zoo," the story of an African pygmy who was displayed along with Geronimo and hundreds of other indigenous people at the St. Louis Fair in 1904, and two years later at the Bronx Zoo, in a cage with Dohong the orangutan.
